A discovery flight is your opportunity to experience what it's really like to be a pilot. Whether you're considering a career in aviation or simply exploring flying as a hobby, a discovery flight is a fun, low-commitment way to explore aviation, ask questions, and see if flight training is right for you.
During your flight, you'll learn about aircraft operations, communication with Air Traffic Control, and the fundamental controls of the airplane. Under the guidance of a Certified Flight Instructor, you'll take the controls and fly the aircraft yourself!
Our Cessna 172 aircraft are meticulously maintained and extremely safe and reliable. Throughout the entire flight, you’ll be accompanied by a highly experienced Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), who routinely teaches new students and flies the exact route you’ll be doing on your flight. The CFI will provide instruction and cues on when and how you should fly the aircraft.
This introductory flight is intended for people that have no flight experience at all. This means you don’t need to prepare anything in advance, just come ready to learn and fly a plane! The only thing you need to bring with you is your government-issued ID.
This flight counts as official flight time! By logging the flight on a pilot logbook, this flight will count towards your total training time if you decide to pursue a pilot’s license in the future.
The flight is approximately 50 minutes long.
There is no minimum age to experience a discovery flight. We welcome aspiring aviators of all ages.
Payments for a flight voucher should be made online through this page. After you’ve made a payment, you can schedule your flight by calling us at (954) 668-0203 or emailing us at info@FlightCenterInternational.com. After purchasing a flight voucher, you have 365 days to complete your flight.
Prior to your reservation, we’ll monitor the weather and contact you if we believe we’ll be unable to complete the flight. In the case of bad weather (storms, wind, haze), rescheduling is available at no cost. We’ll work with you to find the next best time to accommodate your flight.
